Anna
Demidova.
Anna Demidova is an artist living and working in Serbia. Painting has been part of her life for many years. She is now dedicating more of her time to developing her artistic practice.
Working mainly in acrylic, Anna explores spirals, natural forms, human figures and imagined spaces. A composition develops through the making: the movement of paint offers a starting point, while close attention reveals where it might lead.
She is drawn to colour and fleeting impressions in the work of Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Georges Seurat and Paul Gauguin. Her personal meditation practice informs a way of being present rather than a predetermined set of rules for painting.
